Comfortable Buildings and Efficient Systems

Humidity control is as essential as temperature control for creating comfortable building environments for occupants and for designing efficient, cost-effective HVAC systems for building owners and managers — without inefficient overcooling. Humidity is also important for process applications such as pharmaceuticals, printing, and paper and textile manufacturing as well as electronic production and artwork preservation. Proper humidity levels can be crucial to the rate of production, quality of the product, static buildup avoidance, worker safety and comfort, mold prevention, and more.

Our Advanced Humidity Control…

…technologies, available on many of our products, allow you to effectively control the humidity in your building spaces. If your application requires humidification, we offer Integrated technologies that are factory engineered and installed.

Total Energy Recovery Wheels…

also known as enthalpy wheels, can significantly enhance humidity control in buildings by transferring both sensible (temperature) and latent (moisture) energy between the incoming fresh air and the outgoing exhaust air.

Heating and Cooling Coils…

…play a big role in managing humidity in the airstream. We offer more coil options so you’ll be able to match your coil to your application needs and help solve even the most demanding of dehumidification applications.

Since 1955, we’ve been committed to manufacturing all our coils using the highest quality materials and strict quality control standards. Our commitment to quality ensures a long product life and top performance. And our quick-ship options mean you’ll get your coils when you need them. We offer a wide range of coils in custom sizes, materials and corrosion resistant coatings.

Whether you need replacement coils in weeks or just days, you can trust Nortek Air Solutions to deliver a solution on time and on spec.

Innovative Thermal Break…

technologies from Nortek Air Solutions prevent thermal bridging and eliminate sweat or frost on your air handler, which can lead to additional moisture in the air.

Thermal bridging can occur when there is a direct path for heat to transfer through materials with high thermal conductivity, such as metal. This can lead to temperature differences that cause condensation. When warm, humid air comes into contact with a cooler surface, condensation can form. In AHUs, this can lead to moisture buildup, which can cause mold growth, corrosion, and other issues.

Thermal breaks use materials with low thermal conductivity to interrupt the path of heat transfer. These materials are often placed between the inner and outer surfaces of the AHU panels and frames. The design of thermal breaks is integrated into the structure of the AHU. This includes the use of insulated panel joints, gaskets, and other components that reduce thermal conductivity.

In addition to preventing moisture, thermal breaks improve the overall energy efficiency of the AHU by reducing unwanted heat transfer. This can lead to lower energy costs and improved performance of the HVAC system. It also enhances the lifespan of the AHU by protecting it from moisture-related damage.
