Built On Site, On Your Schedule — For Your Specific Job Requirements
Our Knockdown Air Handlers are perfect for new, replacement, and retrofit applications facing space and access limitations as well as constraints on installation time and cost. Knockdown construction means the unit is specifically designed and manufactured to fit through your field opening and meet your weight constraints. The result — faster field installation of a high-quality, site-built air handler.
In 30+ years of making custom air handlers, we’ve perfected the design of knockdown units based on feedback from our customers. The air handler brands of Nortek Air Solutions offer two options for knockdown air handlers.
FANWALL Retrofit Demonstration
- Eight cell array moving 25,000 CFM
- Two inches external static pressure and about four and a quarter inches total static
- Our fan array is very well suited to retrofit construction - it is capable of knockdown assembly
- Retrofit was completed using a doorway that measures just under 19 inches
- All fan cells were brought in in pieces and then reconstructed within the unit
